F-22 kit repair
February 11, 2018, 03:07:02 PM
Mouse are the "big problem" :P . They not only scare our wives, they also destroy our lovely foamy models.
here are my suggestions Set some traps to kill rats, if you don't want any violence then leave some cheese for them so that they remain busy in party and leave your models unharmed.  ;D

Well I have a foamy Kit of F-22 clawed and gnawed by rats. Now I have decided to repair and modify the kit so keep linked and watch  :)

Here is the first phase of repairing.
Cut all the holes straight and turn it into square or rectangle (as these shapes are easy to measure and cut).

After that cut the pieces of foam of exact dimensions and glue them in these holes.

This is the last phase pf repairing and is most critical one. " PAINTING "
It is nearly impossible to match the exact shade. But we can go somewhere close to it. Here as you can see model is originally painted in two different shades of grey. :P
I took White and black color and mix them in different ratios to get the shade. Light shade was the most difficult job to do for that shade ratio is about 1:30 or higher.
well anyway enjoy the pictures.  :)
